Kaatsbaan Cultural Park will kick off its spring season in colorfully creative style on
May 31 when it hosts the opening of its 2025 Visual Arts Exhibition.
On
loan expressly for exhibition are two newly installed bronze works by the renowned
early 20th-century French-born modernist sculptor Gaston Lachaise: Floating
Woman (1927) and Torso of Elevation (1934) are on loan
from the Lachaise Foundation in New York City. The show will also see Kaatsbaan’s
gallery and 153-acre grounds populated with contemporary works by acclaimed Hudson
Valley artists.
Among the pieces featured this season are metal paintings by
Neil Enggist, stonework by Daisuke
Kiyomiya, wood sculptures by Heidi Lanino, a geometric wall relief by Ian
McMahon, an organic banner by Portia Munson, found-plastic works by Aurora
Robson, conceptual string pieces by Jennifer Zackin, personal dance videos by Freeda
Electra Handelsman, and more.
