A few years ago, a group of artists were invited to exhibit and sell their creations on the porch of the former Florida Artists Gallery in Floral City. The gallery closed, but the artists still gather weekly and will continue their tradition as part of Floral City’s Heritage Days on Saturday, Dec. 2, on the porch of the Zimmerman House, 8441 Orange Ave.
The group, known as artOasis, will show and sell a wide variety of creations – oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, greeting cards, jewelry, pottery, collages and assemblages. A portion of the proceeds of the sales will be donated to the Duval House Preservation Trust.
