Twenty two Bangladeshi artists have participated in an international art event under way at the Airport Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The three-day event titled ‘Kalashala’ is featuring a plein air workshop and exhibition. The workshop is conducted by Indian artist Praween Karmakar, Taiwanese artist Darius Rafaello, Iranian artist Ladan Orangi and Bangladeshi artist Shohag Parvez.

The event has been organised by In Art World. Seventy five artists from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bahrain, Dubai and Poland have participated in the event, which began on March 15.

In Art World is an international organisation, which was co-founded by Indian artist Praween Karmakar, Moumita Ghosh and Bangladeshi artist Md Kauser Hossain in 2022 to make a global platform for young artists and promote them.

The IAW regularly organises workshops, art camps, exhibitions and publishes a quarterly art magazine to promote young artists globally.

‘The event promotes young artists globally and the workshop is conducted by internationally acclaimed painter Praween Karmakar from India, Darius Rafaello from Taiwan and Ladan Orangi from Iran. I hope that participants would learn a lot at this event,’ said co-founder of IAW Md Kauser Hossain.

The event will end on Sunday.
