CULTURE THINK, Fulfilling Artist Growth Partners with the orchard for Global Distribution

On july 3, CULTURE THINK, Korea’s leading voice in hip hop has entered into a global distribution agreement with The Orchard, a leading distribution and artist + label services company and member of Sony Music Entertainment.

Additionally, The Orchard has entered into a global partnership with the company, enabling CULTURE THINK to pursue diverse music ventures and expand its reach in the industry.

CULTURE THINK developed RAPBEAT, a hip-hop-based event, and in 2024, expanded it into a multi-genre music festival held at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park, the largest venue in the country.

CULTURE THINK launched its management service CTM (CULTURE THINK MANAGEMENT) in 2018, and introduced the music distribution service Phooey in 2021, engaging in various businesses within the music industry.

Jin Kyeom Kim, CEO of CULTURE THINK, stated, “South Korea boasts a thriving music market, yet it lacks the robust booking agencies like WME or CAA seen in other territories. This gap limits international exposure for Korean artists, hindering the industry’s full potential. By addressing these issues, CULTURE THINK is committed to fostering the global growth of Korean music.”

CULTURE THINK is the sole domestic corporation with a business model resembling that of William Morris Endeavor (WME) and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Its CTM roster includes labels and artists such as ‘NELL,’ Swings’s label ‘AP Alchemy,’ DEAN’s label ‘you.will.knovv,’ and BewhY’s label ‘Dejavu Group.’

The Orchard said, “With Korea solidifying its position as an Asian music hub, CULTURE THINK’s diverse roster of artists – all with distinct musical perspectives – is poised for global success. We look forward to collaborating with CULTURE THINK on innovative solutions to connect their artists to global audiences.”
