ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The highly anticipated annual Rocky River District Art Show is set to take place at Rocky River High School, with an exciting opening night Tuesday, May 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This vibrant showcase will remain open to the public for viewing until Friday, May 16, inviting art lovers and family members alike to immerse themselves in the creativity of the district’s young artists.
Kensington art teacher Hallie Coughlin explained that “the students are proud of pretty much everything they’ve completed,” and take great pride in their work.
This year’s art show promises to be a spectacular display, featuring at least one unique piece from every student enrolled in an art class across the district.
Families and community members are encouraged to attend and experience the remarkable talent and creativity that these young artists have poured into their work.
The annual event has become a cherished tradition, drawing large crowds of families and community members eager to admire the artistic expressions of their children and neighbors.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with art teachers, who take great pride in greeting families and sharing the impressive body of work that students have accomplished throughout the school year.
John Rocco, the highly admired art teacher at Goldwood, extends a heartfelt invitation to all: “Come see the MASTERPIECES of the ‘Goldwood Greats’ and the rest of the school district as well! We hope you enjoy the hard work from all the amazing artists.”

In addition to the art gallery, past years have hosted volunteer face painters, a pop up photo booth with exciting and silly props, as well as treats you can purchase.

The success of the art show is in part possible by the overwhelming support of volunteers who generously dedicate their time and effort to assist in mounting, hanging, and dismantling the artwork once the show concludes.
This truly community-driven event exemplifies the collaborative spirit of Rocky River, showcasing not only the talents of its young artists but also the commitment of the entire community to celebrate and support the arts.

If you are hungry for more art in Rocky River you may want to visit the Rocky River Senior Center to see their 33rd annual Art Show which opened Saturday, May 10 and runs through June 9. You may visit the center anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This year there are many unique pieces, including a stained glass lamp, according to the Senior Center welcome desk.
The Senior Center is located at 21014 Hilliard Blvd., behind the city fire station.
