‘Empathy for the Devil’ podcast explores artists’ psychological struggles

There have been plenty of podcasts picking over the lives of famous, dead music stars. However, ‘Empathy for the Devil’ takes a more purposeful approach to this topic. It’s a six-part podcast hosted by three experts on wellbeing in the music industry: Sam Parker, Matt Thomas and Chula Goonewardene.

The show will look at the lives of late artists with the aim of helping listeners to understand their psychological struggles, and learn lessons that can help today’s musicians and the teams supporting them.

“The issues we discuss remain all too present, and some have even gotten worse due to things like social media and the ability to travel further, quicker, and faster,” said Thomas. “We aim to foster greater connection, understanding and empathy for the current generation through these deeply human and relatable stories from past generations.”
