Live at the Center puts original music onstage & online

The best in local and regional original music will continue onstage and online as the Center for the Performing Arts begins the fifth season of its Live at the Center concert and livestream series, with nine events booked through May.

Launched in 2020 to help support local musicians during the pandemic lockdown, Live at the Center features Indiana-based artists performing in genres from jazz and classical to soul and indie rock. Tickets for on-site attendance are just $10, and online viewing on Facebook and YouTube is free during and after each show. With multi-camera coverage in HD video and stereo sound, viewers anywhere can enjoy a front-row perspective on Indiana’s top talent.

“We’re very proud to continue this series, which has grown even beyond our original vision,” said Jeffrey C. McDermott, President and CEO of the Center for the Performing Arts. “There are so many talented songwriters and performers who deserve to be heard more widely, and the community deserves to hear them.”

The 2024-2025 season kicks off Tuesday, July 30, at the Palladium with jazz from the Brandon Meeks Quintet. Tickets are on sale now at TheCenterPresents.org or (317) 843-3800. More information on tickets and viewing options is available at TheCenterPresents.org/LATC.
