Local artists get greatest commission of their lives

Were you able to stop by the Conference Room in Noblesville’s South Alley to see the live Santa Claus model painting?

Several artists came by to paint St. Nick along with countless people stopping by to watch while art was being created. Actually, Santa says he is so overwhelmed right now because most folks have been especially good this year, and the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) was lucky to get him to stop by and model.

Dec. 2 was Shop Local Saturday, and along with the Holiday in Lights Parade, downtown Noblesville was hopping. HCAA is always happy to partner with the city of Noblesville for the pop-up exhibit for Small Business Saturday and Shop Local Day.

HCAA’s Open Studio Live Model Painting is always on Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at 195 S. 5th St., Noblesville. Any artist is invited to join and paint for a $10 fee, which goes to the model. Any art enthusiasts are invited at no cost to watch HCAA artists create and even converse with them.

At HCAA, artists love creating fine art and, they are always willing to serve the art-appreciating community of Hamilton County.
