The BookMarks Friends of the Marion Public Library needs help from local artists to be “Sitting Pretty.”
Artists are encouraged to submit a design to bring a chair and/or a stool to life. The final chairs and/or stools will be part of a fundraiser auction. The BookMark’s mission is to support the services, facilities and needs of Marion Public Library.
The designs for the chairs and stools are limited only to the artist’s imagination. It would be nice, but not mandatory, if the design relates to a book title. Artists can choose to donate art supplies or submit receipts for materials up to $50.
This is an opportunity to submit an artistic design, have it displayed at a local establishment and then sold to the highest bidder at a special event.
Sitting Pretty artist’s design packets are available at MarionOHBookMarks.org/sitting-pretty or at Marion Public Library.
Entries must be submitted to the BookMarks Friends of Marion Public Library by dropping them off at Marion Public Library no later than 5 p.m. Oct. 31.
