NOW. MEGAN, TONIGHT’S CONCERT, IT’S PRETTY UNIQUE BECAUSE I’M SEEING WHAT THE CONCERT ACTUALLY STARTS IN TWO HOURS AT 8:00. AND AS YOU CAN HEAR, THEY ACTUALLY JUST STARTED WARMING UP. BUT GUYS, THIS CONCERT IS VERY UNIQUE BECAUSE IT SHOWCASES ARTISTS WHO’VE BEEN ON THE NATIONAL STAGE. WE ARE EXPECTING A REALLY BIG TURNOUT, WHICH WE’RE SUPER EXCITED FOR A FREE CONCERT IN THE PARK ON A FRIDAY IS RIGHT ON TIME FOR THE PERFECT WEATHER. IT’S CALLED THE NIGHT OF OKC VOICES AND WILL BE IN SCISSORTAIL PARK STARTING AT EIGHT WITH LOCAL FOOD TRUCKS AND LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. ONE OF THE PERFORMING ARTISTS, THE LOCAL GROUP OKAY THREE, WHO STARTED THEIR CAREER A DECADE AGO. WE WERE ALL TAKING VOCAL LESSONS INDIVIDUALLY FROM THE SAME VOCAL COACH AND THEN WE DID A SHOW OUT IN DISNEYLAND TOGETHER, AND SOMEBODY ACTUALLY HAD PITCHED THE IDEA TO US TO BECOME A TRIO, AND WE HAD JUST STARTED TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND SO AFTER THAT WE WERE LIKE, HECK YEAH, THAT WOULD BE SO MUCH FUN. WHAT’S ALSO UNIQUE ABOUT TONIGHT’S CONCERT? ALL THE ARTISTS HAVE BEEN ON NATIONAL TV SHOWING OFF THEIR TALENTS. OKAY, THREE SAYS THE OPPORTUNITY HAPPENED TO LAND IN THEIR LAP. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET TO THE BLIND AUDITIONS AND WE WE MADE IT AND IT WAS CRAZY. IT WAS REALLY EXCITING. IT FELT LIKE A WHIRLWIND. THEY SAY TO ANY YOUNG ARTISTS OUT THERE, NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS, EXPLORE YOUR CREATIVITY AND DON’T BE AFRAID TO BE YOURSELF. A BIG PART OF WHY WE WENT ON THE VOICE IS WE WANTED TO SHOW THAT THERE WAS MORE THAN JUST COUNTRY MUSIC IN OKLAHOMA. US BEING A POP TRIO. SO WE WANT EVERYBODY TO FEEL THAT THERE’S A SPACE FOR THEM IN THE ART SCENE HERE IN OKLAHOMA. AND AGAIN, TONIGHT’S CONCERT STARTS HERE IN SCISSORTAIL PARK AT 8:00, AND THE CITY SAYS TO BRING OUT CHAIRS AND BLANKETS. THIS EVENT WILL BE FAMILY AND PET FRIENDLY, BUT NO GLASS BOTTLES AND CONTAINERS ARE ALLOWED. AND TO KEEP ALL ANIMALS ON A LEASH AND THEY WILL HAVE A FIRST AID STATION AVAILABLE FOR SAFETY

Friday’s concert is unique in that all of the featured artists have been on national television showing off their talents. OK3 said the opportunity to appear on ‘The Voice’ just happened to land in their lap.“We were lucky enough to get to the blind auditions and we made it, and it was crazy. It was really exciting, it felt like a whirlwind,” Fields said.The group said that young artists should never give up on their dreams.“Explore your creativity, and don’t be afraid to be yourself.
