Southern Adventist University’s School of Visual Art and Design announces a joint exhibition featuring local artists Heath Montgomery and Donald Keefe, who won “Best in Show” at an Association for Visual Arts’ Juried Members Exhibition. 

Titled “Viceversa,” the showcase of paintings and drawings will open on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. in Brock Hall’s John C. Williams Art Gallery on campus.

Mr. Montgomery earned his bachelor’s degree in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and his master of fine arts at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

He has taught at Baylor School and Hamilton County Schools in Chattanooga and exhibits across the Southeast and in Soho, NY.

Born in Iowa, Mr. Keefe has lived and worked all over the country, from rural Appalachian Kentucky and West Virginia to Miami, Fl., southern California and New York City. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and earned a master of fine arts from the University of Florida. The nationally exhibited and published artist joined the teaching faculty at Southern in 2015.
