Art’s Alive will present the 2024 Fine Arts Show, aimed at encouraging artists of all ages and skill levels from the area to showcase their artistic talents. The exhibit will be open to the public, allowing attendees to view and appreciate a diverse range of artwork.
The Opening Exhibition will take place in the Fine Arts building, located in the Merchant’s Area of the Rock Barn on the northeast side. Exhibition hours are as follows:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Artists are invited to bring their entries to the Rock Barn on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All entries must have solid frames and be wired for hanging. Paper frames will not be accepted.
Judging will be conducted on the evening of August 1, with the exhibit closing at 3 p.m. that day. The results of the awards will be available for viewing during exhibit hours on the following day. The Best of Show and People’s Choice Awards will be presented on the final day of the exhibit.
Items may be removed on the morning of Saturday, August 3, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Items will not be released until Saturday. Failure to pick up items on time will result in forfeiture of prizes and monies. Any remaining items after 1 p.m. on Saturday can be picked up by appointment. Art’s Alive will not be responsible for items remaining after 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The chairperson reserves the right to refuse any artwork deemed unacceptable for public display. No paint-by-numbers art will be accepted. All artwork must be the original work of the exhibiting artist and signed by the artist. Entries are limited to five per artist, and no entry that has previously won a prize in this competition will be accepted.
