Local artists have until Oct. 5 to submit artwork to be considered by the 2025 juror, Button Gallery owner Michael Burmeister.

Burmeister will select the top 20 pieces from all the entries. From the top 20 pieces selected by Burmeister, one winner will be selected as the official Tulip Time poster artwork.

The winning artwork will be available for purchase following its unveiling in February 2025 on mugs, shirts, posters, magnets and more all throughout downtown Holland. The winner also gets to participate in a Tulip Time parade.

Recent winners of the competition include John Cowden (2024), Kristin Doversberger (2023), Kate Moynihan (2022), Aron Lowe (2020) and Carolyn Stich (2019).

As part of the competition, the top 20 artists’ works will be on display during the May festival and viewers can vote on their favorite. The winner of the most votes will receive the People’s Choice Award.

Artists may submit up to three works – original, unframed, 16” x 20” – for a single $35 entry fee. Information about the competition, instructions, and submission forms are available at tuliptime.com/first-bloem-2025
