VC Artist Diana Adamyan signs with Askonas Holt

Diana has joined the artist management agency for general management

VC Artist Diana Adamyan won international acclaim when she earned first prize at both the 2018 Menuhin Competition and the Khachaturian International Competition.

At Askonas Holt, she will be represented by the agency’s Associate Director and Manager, Artists, Adelaide Docx, and Associate Artist Manager Miriam Goldmann

Her representation at Askonas Holt is also part of the company’s recent merging of artists and colleagues from the Opus 3 Artists Berlin office, where she was initially signed

Currently based in Basel, Germany, Diana has appeared with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Seiji Ozawa Academy, and the Matsumoto International Music Festival.

She has attended the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the NAC Summer Music School, and studied with mentors including Petros Haykazyan, Ana Chumachenco, Pinchas Zukerman, and Leonidas Kavakos.

Her engagements have included performances with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, Uppsala Chamber Orchestra, Niederbayerische Philharmonie, and the Staatsorchester Darmstadt, as well as recitals in Tokyo and France.

She recently played at the Aspen Festival, made her Boston recital debut at the Celebrity Series, plus performed at the Boston Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops Orchestra.

A scholarship from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Diana is under the patronage of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and Boston’s YerazArt foundation. She performs on a 1760 Nicolò Gagliano violin, generously on loan from the Henri Moerel Foundation.

Alongside artists at the Opus 3 Artists Berlin office, Diana joins Askonas Holt’s roster of 21 renowned artists and touring partners, including conductors Ingo Metzmacher, Ruth Reinhardt, David Robertson and Reinhard Goebel, and pianists Daniil Trifonov and Jeremy Denk.

“This is a significant moment in the development of Askonas Holt’s offer in continental Europe, deepening our relationships with presenters, orchestras and opera houses across the German-speaking territories,” said Askonas’s CEO Donagh Collins in the press release. “All of us in London look forward to working with our new colleagues in Berlin, creating new opportunities for our artists and touring partners, and developing more collaborations with our sister company in New York, Opus 3 Artists.”

Along with the recording label Pentatone, both Opus 3 Artists and Askonas Holt are part of a strategic alliance under the umbrella of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
