Most Europeans have a unique idea about what Americans look like in each US state, and artificial intelligence has brought these views to life in lifelike images.

Midjourney, a system that creates images based on users’ text prompts, created an image for each of the 50 states based on how those across the Atlantic perceive them.

According to AI, Europeans think Alabamians typically have missing teeth, all Utahans are Mormons and Virginians are stuck in the Victorian era. And everyone is white.

While some images are far-fetched, they offer insight into potential biases and stereotypes in AI technology.

Alabama

Alabamians are rugged-looking, with blue eyes and a few teeth missing in their mouths

According to AI, Europeans perceive Alabamians as being very rugged-looking, with blue eyes and a few teeth missing in their mouths, according to BuzzFeed.

Alaska

Alaskans are bundled up in a winter coat playing in the snow

The image of what Europeans think of Alaskans shows a man bundled up in a winter coat as he plays in the snow with a smile on his rosy red face.

Arizona

AI believes Europeans think people who live in Arizona love to drink.

The image of the stereotypical person from this state shows a man with nearly a dozen glasses of beer in front of him.

Arkansas

The image created for this state looks very similar to what Europeans may think of Alabama.

Arkansans, according to the AI, are perceived as having a rustic and disheveled look about them.

California

Europeans may think most Californians have blonde, beach-wavy hair and a ‘too cool for school look.’

The AI-generated image shows a woman wearing sunglasses while carrying a dog in one arm and cups of coffee in each hand.

Colorado

This state is known for its picturesque landscape, and according to AI, most Europeans think Coloradans all love to hike through the beautiful mountains.

And the image dreamed up by AI shows what looks like a crazed hiker who has been trekking up the rocky trail for days.

Connecticut

Europeans might think people who live in the New England state are plain-looking.

Midjourney created a couple wearing glasses and button-up shirts with blank facial expressions.

It also seems those living in Europe think people in Connecticut are stuck in the 1950s.

Delaware

This state is famous for crab, which is how Europeans picture  Delawareans.

The AI created an image of a Colonial-era woman sifting through a large pile of bright red crabs.

Florida

Europeans might think Floridians are fun people who live by their own rules.

The image produced by the AI shows a man with untamed locks and a smile from ear to ear.

Georgia

This state is called the Peach State due to its long history of growing fruit in the US, which began around the 16th century.

And most Europeans think every Georgian is a peach farmer.

Hawaii

According to the AI, Europeans perceive Hawaiians as laid-back individuals who are always at the beach.

Idaho

Residents of this state have also fallen victim to a stereotype.

According to the AI, most Europeans think Idahoans are potato farmers due to 97 percent of Americans sourcing their potatoes from the state.

Illinois

Chicago is known for its hot dogs, and AI thinks Europeans perceive people of this state as always chowing down on the dish.

The image shows a tattooed man wearing a beanie as he takes a large bite from what looks like a relish-covered hot dog.

Indiana

Europeans must see people from this state having a large number of children to help parents work on the farm.

The images show a family of 10, all dressed in plain clothes and with blank faces.

Iowa

Iowa has the most cornfields in the US, and AI believes Europeans see these Americans as ‘corn huskers.’

Kansas

AI dreamed up a man working at a carnival for what Europeans think people of this state look like.

Kentucky

Kentucky is famous for horseracing, bourbon and coal production, but when Europeans think of the state’s residents, they might envision an older man wearing a cowboy hat and a stern look on his face.

Louisiana

This state is home to music, southern food and festivals.

According to AI, Europeans envision people in this state as young individuals who are always eating crawfish at their local bar.

Maine

The New England state is known for its forests – more than 80 percent of the area is covered in tall trees.

According to AI, Europeans must think Mainers are woodsmen donned in animal fur who live off the land.

Maryland

This is another state known for its crab, and AI thinks that is all Europeans think about Marylanders.

Massachusetts

While this state is historic for its place in the American Revolution, specifically the Boston Tea Party, Europeans might only see Massachusettsans as crazed football fans.

Michigan

This state is also believed to be home to die-hard football fans who walk around in nothing but winter coats and a beer in their hand.

Minnesota

Europeans must think everyone from Minnesota is always happy and eating a large pot of chili to stay warm.

Mississippi

The AI created what appears to be a courthouse scene with a man yelling from the crowd.

While it is unclear why Europeans see Mississippians as screaming in a courtroom, it could be in part of the state’s passion for debating.

Missouri

Europeans must only think of barbeque when they envision Missourians

Montana

While the AI has recreated many stereotypes for each state, it may have re-imagined how many Montanans look.

The tech thinks Europeans believe people of this state are cowboys, and most residents likely are due to it being home to many cattle ranches.

Nebraska

Nebraskans are known to be avid farmers, and Europeans must think all residents are old and partake in some form of agriculture.

Nevada

This state is widely known for its casinos, and that is what Europeans think of when they envision someone from Nevada – a crazed individual sitting at a slot machine.

New Hampshire

According to AI, when Europeans think of people from New Hampshire, they see them dining on a bowl of dumplings.

However, this is not the signature dish of residents.

The AI re-imagines a couple, which could play on the close connections in New Hampshire – it surpasses national rankings for health, education, and children’s well-being, making it a top choice for raising a family in the US.

New Jersey

New Jersians might not be thrilled to know Europeans have a typical stereotype when thinking about them – someone who looks Italian and is eating a large plate of spaghetti.

New Mexico

According to AI, Europeans only think about aliens when they envision people from New Mexico.

The image shows a group of ETs standing behind a man who could be from outside this world.

New York

Europeans might only think of Wall Street’s bigwigs when describing someone from New York.

The AI-generated image shows a young man sitting on a throne of money in a city.

North Carolina

Those across the Atlantic might perceive North Carolinians as traditional yet refined in their attire.

North Dakota

This state is known for its wide-open spaces and fields of grain.

Europeans might think about North Dakotans as being the heart of America.

Ohio

When Europeans are asked to describe an Ohioan, they might envision a sports-loving, beer-drinking fan at a stadium – this is at least according to AI.

Oklahoma

The AI perception of what Europeans think about people in this state looks like something out of a Wild West movie.

The image shows a man and a woman running from a train exploding just feet away.

Oregon

If this AI image is correct, Europeans may have a good idea about Oregonians.

These individuals are known for their outdoorsy look and love of coffee – the state is home to more than 200 specialty coffee shops.

Pennsylvania

While the image of Pennsylvanians made by AI could be offensive – it shows an overweight boy devouring a chocolate bar – it could pay homage to the town of Hershey.

In 1905, Milton Hershey built his famous chocolate company in the town, which was also home to a popular theme park.

Rhode Island

According to AI, Europeans think people from Rhode Island love the ocean and only wear polo shirts.

South Carolina

Residents of this state are passionate about their college football, which is likely why AI thinks Europeans see a man wearing a jersey and holding a football when they think of South Carolinians.

South Dakota

Europeans must not know that people from North and South Dakota are different.

The image of South Dakota is nearly identical to its sister state to the north.

Tennessee

Europeans must think people in Tennessee live outdoors, as the images show a weathered man sitting by a fire.

Texas

Europeans must think everything really is bigger in Texas.

The AI-generated image shows an overweight man holding a head-sized sandwich in one hand and a gun in the other – all typical stereotypes of Texans.

Utah

When Europeans describe Utahans, they seem to think they are all blond, blue-eyed Mormons.

Vermont

According to AI, Europeans think people from Vermont are rugged, carefree and smokers.

Virginia

The AI-generated image for Virginia shows a couple dressed in Colonia-era clothing.

This might be because Virginia is home to the first successful English colony in the US.

Washington

This state is known for constant rainfall, and Europeans may think everyone is always wearing a raincoat and battling storms.

West Virginia

According to AI, West Virginians have a pig problem.

The image shows a farmer being attacked by a giant pig with claws.

Wisconsin

Europeans may not be far off with their idea about Wisconsinites.

The image shows a man with a large plate of cheese, which ties into the fact Wisconsin produces 26 percent of the US’s dairy products.

Wyoming

The image made for the European idea of people in Wyoming does look like Clint Eastwood, the famed Wild West actor.
