Amongst an increasingly uncertain global environment, human rights continue to stand out as a call to respect, freedom, equality and peace rooted in our shared human dignity and upheld through the rule of law.
In the Pacific, human rights challenges present themselves in both structural and specific cases. This calls on all of us to stay vigilant and committed to spotting them, calling them out and working to ensure human rights are protected and promoted.
We all have an important role to play in tackling human rights challenges in our lives and our communities, so we want you to be part of the conversation!
The consistent themes of human rights challenges raised during the Pacific Human Rights Film Festival in 2023 have been women’s rights and the rights of the child. We are calling on you to share your insights on these important human rights issues through your art!
