MU Museum of Art and Archeology moves to Ellis basement. | Higher Education

In a long hallway beneath Ellis Library, behind a set of industrial doors, lies a world of antiquity in construction.

Dan Eck, director of MU’s Museum of Art and Archaeology, moves through the basement galleries. Warm yellow lights hang low from the ceiling, casting his shadow against newly painted walls. He weaves from one gallery to another: from the West Gallery, which is cluttered with crates and foam, to the Weinberg Gallery of Antiquities, which is lined on two sides with bright glass cases.
