The 2024 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships are somersaulting onto screens over the next two weeks.
The Rimini Exhibition Centre in Italy will play host to both the men’s and women’s events, with British gymnasts seeking to lay a marker ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Split into two separate Championships, the men’s event will take place from the 24-28 April, before the women step into the arena a week later from the 2-5 May.

Which athletes are competing in Italy
British athletes are ready to dazzle in Rimini, with all hopes on impressing the selection committee ahead of this summer’s Olympic Games.
World vault champion Jake Jarman will lead out the men’s side following a golden year on the international circuit in 2023.

The 22-year-old has collected a staggering six European medals over just two years of competition and will be gunning to make his Olympic debut in Paris.
Jarman will be joined by British All-Around Champion Joe Fraser who has made quite the comeback following injury last year.
Britain’s Harry Hepworth and Courtney Tulloch also take to the stage after strong starts their year whilst horizontal bar specialist James Hall joins the squad as part of the team competition.
Three-time Olympic gold medallist Max Whitlock sadly picked up a wrist injury during preparation and will step away from the competition to recover.
In his place comes reigning European floor champion Luke Whitehouse who is set to defend his title in Rimini off the back of his recent World Cup silver in Doha.

Tokyo 2020 Olympian Alice Kinsella won European silver in the floor exercise and will be joined in the team by three time European champion and 2023 uneven bars silver medallist Becky Downie.
Rounding off the women’s team are three-time Commonwealth Games champion Georgia-Mae Fenton and young star Ruby Evans, who made her senior international debut at the 2023 World Championships.
Abigail Martin will make her senior international debut in Rimini, stepping in for Ondine Achampong who has withdrawn as a precautionary measure.
The women’s team will start qualification on 2 May in subdivision four.

BBC will be showing every final of the men’s and women’s European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
The individual finals for men will take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 April, with the Sunday reserved for the team final.
The women’s individual finals will be contested on Saturday 4th May and the team final the following day.
