Arts & Collections magazine has won top awards in two categories in the prestigious European Magazine of the Year Awards 2023.

The magazine, published by Damson Media in the UK and distributed internationally, won in the Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty and the Cover Concept categories of the European Publishing Congress annual European Magazine Awards.

Arts & Collections

The jury, including Melanie Amann, Member of the editorial board of Der Spiegel, Jan Blender, Managing Director Germany of Readly, Barbara Haas, Deputy Editor of Styria Medienhaus Lifestyle, Gerald Grünberger, CEO of Verband Österreichischer Zeitungen, and Malte von Bülow, CPO (Chief Product Officer) Publishing Germany of Bauer Media Group, described the quarterly magazine as having a “Special and distinctive approach to timeless luxury and arts collections – excellent design, professional presentation.”

Collections

Chris Jenkins, Editor of Arts & Collections, said: “We’re very honoured to have received these awards from such a prestigious European publishing organisation. Our aim with the magazine and website has always been to appeal to the most discerning of HNWI readers, and to maintain the highest standards of content and design. These awards are a tribute to all the contributors to the magazine, and support our firmly held belief that print media is the natural home of advertising for the luxury market.”

Concept

The magazine’s entry in the Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty category read: “Arts & Collections appeals to an international audience of high net worth individuals with an interest in art, culture, luxury goods, travel and investment. Its features cover the most spectacular auctions from the likes of Sotheby’s, the best upcoming artists to invest in, the most appealing luxury goods, the best way to build and manage a collection, and the best in five-star travel. The magazine’s high design values and its use of the most striking images from the world’s top photographers make it more than a coffee-table magazine – Arts & Collections is the essential guide to the best in art, culture and luxury.”

Arts & Collections‘ entry in the Cover Concept category said that the magazine “appeals to an international audience of high net worth individuals with an interest in art, culture, luxury goods and five-star travel. Its cover concepts are based on the best in portrait photography and paintings of internationally recognisable celebrities, and have featured the works of photographer Andy Gotts, Karl Lagerfeld, Dennis Leupold, David Parry and Terry O’Neill, and painters Richard Stone, Andy Warhol and Pegasus among others. Bold and unobscured by cover-lines, these covers are instantly eye-catching and convey the magazine’s aura of luxury and authority.”

The awards will be presented at the European Publishing Congress which takes place from June 14th to June 15th, 2023 at Palais Niederösterreich in Vienna. Media managers, editors-in-chief, designers and digital experts from Europe’s best publishing companies will present their strategies and discuss the future of the media industry at the event.
