TEFAF Maastricht 2022: 10 Standout Pieces From the European Fair

Hatched in 2022, Brazilian artist Vik Muniz’s recasting of Pablo Picasso’s famed 1907 oil painting, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, is among TEFAF Maastricht’s newest works on display. The colorful mixed-media creation is an intricately layered exploration of the original.

Pair of historiated amphorae, presented by Antichità Alberto Di Castro

Striking examples of 17th-century majolica, these two decorative amphorae, which feature dual coloring, were signed by Pietro Papi in 1670. They are the earliest works attributed to the artist.
