Artist Maisie Cousins Launches London Takeover

Rising visual artist Maisie Cousins is bringing her vivid collage prints to East London‘s coolest natural wine bar for a three-month residency, kicking off this month. Featuring 10 pieces, consisting of new and unseen works alongside some of Cousins’ classics, the takeover will see the artist bringing her distinctive aesthetic to the raw-edged appearance of Oranj for a limited time.

Creating some works specifically for the space, the artist leaned into her typical process, taking pieces from vintage cookery books and prints to create food and drink-inspired collages. Alongside displaying the works across the venue (and its very Instagrammable bathroom), Cousins’ designs will also feature on collaborative merchandise including a picnic-sized tote bag made for wine bottles and a signed A2 print.

As is customary for Oranj, the unique artworks will be available to visit alongside an exciting rotating roster of guest chefs from April 12 onwards.

Take a look at some of Cousins’ distinctive works above and head to East London’s Oranj to see them in person.

While you’re here, check out the new collaboration from KENZO and VERDY.
