We are seeking artists interested in being part of a significant public art project as part of the METRONET Byford Rail Extension.
Byford Rail Extension is an eight kilometre extension of the Armadale line from Armadale Station to Byford, with a new ground-level Byford Station, and an upgraded Armadale Station, including reconfiguration of multiple surrounding crossings.
The artwork opportunity for the new pedestrian crossing at Seventh Road is a community collaboration project, with the outcome being the integration of meaningful artwork into the pathway and landscape design for the new rail crossing.
The Artist Brief provides information to artist/artist teams interested in submitting an Expression of Interest to work with Armadale Senior High School students to conceptualise, design and install a series of artworks for and around the pedestrian crossing.
