Chilliwack Visual Artists Association group show fills walls of Chilliwack Cultural Centre gallery
People filled the art gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural for the newest exhibition on Saturday.
July 13 was the opening reception for Anything Goes, a group show and sale by members of the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association on display from July 10 to Aug. 10 in the O’Connor Group Art Gallery.
The show has no guidelines or key words defining its content, hence its title. Anything Goes replaced a different show that was cancelled at the last minute. Members at the opening reception said it was an unusual title, but one that worked well considering artists had little time to prepare for the exhibition.
They are calling it a “diverse exhibition of talent and imagery” with assortment of creative works including drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, and ceramics.
‘Anything Goes’ runs from Wednesday, July 10 to Saturday, Aug. 10 in the O’Connor Group Art Gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday and on some evenings during show times. Admission is free.
