DULUTH, Minn. — The weather could not have been better this weekend for the 52nd Park Point Art Fair. Crowds from the Northland and beyond gathered to see over 100 artists with an array of talents.

The volunteer-run fair focuses on connecting ‘high-caliber artists directly with the community.’ They also gave out awards for different art styles. This year silk embroiderer Don Tran won best in show with his intricate nature scenes.

“It gives me a sense of great pride, to be a Duluthian and a Park Pointer,” said Dawn Buck, President of the Park Point Community Club.

“Seeing the joy on people’s faces, people dancing to the music, people finding great wonder in the art…I guess you could say it brings me great joy to see everything come together.”

“There’s always a little stress here and there. Nothing goes perfectly, but when things come together it’s like magic. It’s a magical fair I’d say.”

The fair took a hiatus during the pandemic but Buck says its back and better than ever. In fact, this year was so popular they ran out of programs! Buck says there was an exciting mix of new and returning artists, with something for everyone.
