ATU Artists Earn Awards in Competitive Exhibition

Nathaly Marin of Russellville is the champion of the 17th annual Arkansas Tech University Juried Student Competitive Exhibition.

Marin captured first place with an acrylic painting entitled “The King’s Men.” Her artwork was selected best among the 192 entries, which was the most in the history of the ATU Juried Student Competitive Exhibition.

Rex Deloney served as juror for this year’s exhibition. Deloney is an artist as well as fine arts chair and instructor of art at Little Rock Central High School.

Neal Harrington, professor of art and director of the ATU Norman Hall Art Gallery, served as master of ceremonies for the awards ceremony.

The exhibition will remain available for public viewing at Norman Hall Art Gallery, 203 West Q Street in Russellville, weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through Tuesday, Nov. 21.
