Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – The 21st Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival Committee is seeking artists to create the 2025 festival’s poster artwork. Artists are encouraged to submit original designs that capture the spirit of the Gulf Coast, featuring hot air balloons, art, and music.
Artists must meet certain criteria. The artwork should be original and created by an artist who is at least 16 years old. Artificial Intelligence (AI) artwork will not be accepted.
To reiterate, the theme of the artwork should include hot air balloons, art, music, and the Gulf Coast. The design must feature the festival’s name, “21st Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival,” the year 2025, and Foley, Alabama. Additional criteria includes:
- The actual size of the commissioned poster after production will not exceed 18 inches horizontal and 24 inches vertical.
- If selected, the artwork becomes the sole property of the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival and the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and may be used in any manner the Chamber desires without further compensation to the artist.
- If selected, the commissioned artist will receive a one-time payment of $500.
- Artists are encouraged to submit no more than three drafts.
Artwork should be submitted by Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Submissions can be delivered to the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce at 200 N Alston St., Foley, AL 36535, or mailed to PO Box 1117, Foley, AL 36536.
