Journey back to the old frontier as the Santa Clarita Artists Association’s (SCAA) heads west with ‘Western Perspectives’ showcase!
Journey back to the old frontier as SCAA heads west! Western Perspectives is an art show of old west subject matter in multiple mediums: acrylic, dry media, mixed media, oil, photography, silk painting, and watercolor.
“We chose this theme to coincide with the City’s Cowboy Festival. We wanted to reinforce and support the celebration of local history and provide another venue for which the community could visit the old west,” stated 2024 SCAA Gallery Chair and Artist, Tobi Beck.
Eat Real Cafe will provide wine, appetizers, and dessert for the Reception. In addition, Irish beer from Maginn’s Pub will be served.
“We are so thankful for the support of our neighbors. Please visit their fine establishments before or after checking out Western Perspectives at the gallery,” stated 2024 SCAA Gallery Co-Chair and Artist, Qiana Tarlow.
The reception will also showcase live painting and musical entertainment by Richard Dockus.
The show dates are April 12th – April 21st. The Reception is FREE and will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 5-8pm at 22508 6th Street, Old Town Newhall.
The SCAA Gallery is located at 22508 6th St. Old Town Newhall. Show hours: Fridays 5-8pm, Saturdays 11-8pm, Sundays 11-5pm
Save the date for the next SCAA Gallery show, Faces, which will run from May 3rd – June 2nd, with the Opening Reception on Saturday, May 4th from 5-8pm.
