When is Crafters for a Cause?

Artists of the Rust Belt’s first show on the road starts at 10 a.m. on May 18 at Andrew’s Hall in Canfield benefiting Angels for Animals.

Organizers of Artists of the Rust Belt usually set up their summer craft shows at the B&O Station and Banquet Hall in Youngstown.

It’s one of several shows a year supporting artists, small businesses and makers in the Mahoning Valley area and connecting them with customers and clients.

Organizers describe the B&O markets as “bursting at the seams with talent that wants to participate.”

This month, due to a high number of participating artists, they’re branching out as a way to include more artists and help out a local non-profit organization simultaneously.

Check out Artists of the Rust Belt’s Crafters for a Cause show starting at 10 a.m. on May 18 at Andrew’s Hall in Canfield.

Browse through original pieces of pottery, jewelry, art prints and photos, re-purposed goods, homemade breads and savory chocolates, clothes and rustic décor.

There’s free admission to the family-friendly event which will be both indoor and outdoor at 4750 W. South Range Road in Canfield.

Visit the Artists of the Rust Belt website to see a gallery of all their artwork, jewelry, crafts, desserts, photographs and more.

Proceeds from the event go to Angels for Animals.

Check out the basket raffle courtesy of the artists’ donations and a 50/50 raffle.

After this first show on the road for Angels for Animals, organizers hope other non-profits will reach out to have an art and craft show at their upcoming events, too.
