AUSTIN (KXAN) — The 2024 Austin City Limits Music Festival lineup dropped Tuesday morning, and there are several names and faces from — or well acquainted with — the Lone Star State.

This year’s headliners include Dua Lipa, Tyler, The Creator, Chris Stapleton, Blink-182, Sturgill Simpson, Pretty Lights, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges.

The 2024 festivities mark Dua Lipa’s first time performing at ACL, as well as her first time back in Austin in nearly a decade. She last played in the Texas capital during the 2016 South by Southwest Conference & Festivals and has since made tour stops in Houston and Dallas.

Tyler, The Creator is well versed in the ACL world, having previously played the festival in 2021. Outside of ACL, he has more than a decade’s worth of Texas tour stops with past shows in Dallas, Houston, El Paso, San Antonio and Grand Prairie.

Chris Stapleton’s ACL set will also mark a homecoming performance to the festival. He last played at ACL in 2016. In addition to ACL, he’s played Germania Insurance Amphitheater, the Moody Center and the former Frank Erwin Center in Austin along with stops in Corpus Christi, The Woodlands, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Arlington and Plano.

Blink-182 most recently visited Austin in July 2023 for a tour stop at the Moody Center, with past Austin stops including performances at Circuit of the Americas and the former Frank Erwin Center. Their Texas tour gigs date back to 1999 with shows along the way in Dallas, Houston, The Woodlands, San Antonio, Plano, El Paso, Frisco, New Braunfels and Lubbock.

Sturgill Simpson is another headliner who’s no stranger to ACL crowds. He performed at the festival in 2015 and has made several stops along the way in the Texas capital, including performances at Circuit of the Americas, the Germania Insurance Amphitheater, ACL Live at The Moody Theater and Stubb’s. He’s also played shows in Dallas, Sugar Land, Grand Prairie, Houston, Lubbock and Fort Worth.

Pretty Lights will return to Austin years after their past performances at Euphoria Music Festival and the X Games Music Festival. They are also a returning ACL act, having played the festival in 2011. Elsewhere in Texas, they’ve played shows in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

Headliners Khruangbin and Leon Bridges are returning to their Texas roots this fall with their leading sets at the festival. Khruangbin — a music trio from Houston — last played ACL in 2016 and have since made stops in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth.

For Leon Bridges, the Fort Worth native is also returning to the ACL stage after last playing the festival in 2015. He last played in Austin at the Moody Center in August 2022 and has previously performed shows in Dallas, Irving, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth and San Marcos.
