FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival has come to an end and WKRG has named our favorite artist for 2024.
Over 200 artists from 34 states and Canada came to Fairhope to show off their work at the 72nd annual festival. The WKRG team walked around the entire festival to find and choose their favorite artist for the festival.
Our 2024 Favorite Artist is Annette Poitau. Poitau is originally from France and now lives in Ohio, where she traveled from for the festival. She is known for her oil paintings.
“[The paintings] are very organic and it’s oil, but I work on the floor that way I can control the flow of my oil,” said Poitau.
