Charlevoix Circle of Arts invites artists to Plein Air Paint Out


"Plein air," a French term meaning "in the open air," refers to the tradition of painting outdoors.

CHARLEVOIX — The Charlevoix Circle of Arts is inviting local and visiting artists to participate in the annual Plein Air Paint Out event on July 11 and 12.

This event focuses on the landscapes of Charlevoix, encouraging artists to capture its scenic views. “Plein air,” a French term meaning “in the open air,” refers to the tradition of painting outdoors. Artists of all skill levels and ages are welcome to explore and paint Charlevoix’s beaches, parks, vistas and local attractions.

The event will conclude with a Paint Out Reception and Summer Salon Open House from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 12 at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts. The public is invited to enjoy refreshments, meet the artists, and view and purchase the artworks created during the event.

Artists interested in participating can register online by July 7 at charlevoixcircle.org/paint-out.
